On 01 December 2018 PANETA registered its new two members, Pastor Ezekiel John and Gidion Aminiel in Arusha Uzunguni Park. We thanks God that our team is rapidly expanding and the urge toward strengthening rural health services is also growing spontaneously.
On 19 November PANETA prepared a coffee moment for the purpose of celebrating the successful ness of its first project NIPIME NIJIKINGE held in Monduli District Mfereji ward October 16-20, Also signed a contract with Madam Furaha Ridhiwani who joined PANETA and assigned to work as an Assistant Director Finance and planning.Others on the picture are Director General Leckton Moris ,and Director Finance and Planing Baraka Gabrel.
PANETA has managed to attend the Tanzania Medical Students Association (TAMSA) general assembly in Nguruduto Hotel Arusha, of which PANETA gave out a presentation about its mission, vision, objectives and its ongoing projects which focus on preventive health care investment toward universal health coverage global strategies particularly its project named “NIPIME NIJIKINGE” which is based on provision of basic health education and screening at the community level.

Within one month since it’s establishment, PANETA has already reached more than 100 people in the marginalized rural communities and provide them with health education and free screening to some communicable and non-communicable disease such as HIV,DM,HTN,TB and BMI through its new special project called “NIPIME NIJIKINGE” which marks the beginning of preventive health campaign to all which is one our main target.

PANETA medical outreach volunteers conducting rural medical services in monduli, mfereji ward.
Since Monday this group of medical student volunteers have been conducting medical examination and education seminars to those in the rural setting of Monduli. This outreach team has the hope that with their services given, this group of selected people will be educated on their personal health to stop the spread of communicable diseases and identification of non-communicable diseases, along with promoting the importance of providing rural health care services. The team will be finishing their services on Thursday 18th October 2018, however, necessary follow-up will be given on a personal basis along with another outreach.
Last year in a rural village within Monduli we had a community medical outreach where we offered a free health education and screening to many vulnerable people. There was something very intriguing to us; we found that many people in rural villages are sick but they aren’t even aware of their sickness or what to do about it. While conducting the outreach, we were serving one lady who was 21 years of age. This lady was two months pregnant and HIV positive; however, she had no idea she was HIV positive. We educated both her and her husband on what to do to make sure that the child is born free from HIV. We expressed that making sure the woman follows all the important antenatal procedures for pregnant women that are HIV positive will be very important. This story is why we, Paneta, want to go deep into the rural villages to help the marginalized communities. From October 15-20, 2018, we will be going to another rural village at the Mafereji ward, which is located in the Rift Valley part of Monduli. We happen to be just medical students with no income; however, we have the will and the spirit to go and serve our people who are in places that many can’t or won’t reach.
