Late last year PANETA launched the first of many projects to promote preventative health care to the underprivileged rural communities of Tanzania– through health education and health screenings.
PANETA started this project in Northern areas of Tanzania, including the Arusha Region, Monduli District, and the Mfereji Ward. From January 25th – 27th, PANETA will be launching the same project in the Coastal Zones of Tanzania, including Kisarawe and the Mkuranga District.
However, we will also be adding another component to the upcoming project that will include distributing Maternal Delivery Kits to pregnant women in these areas. The goal of this project is to help reduce the maternal and neonatal mortality rates.
One delivery kit costs approximately 50,000 TZS ($25). PANETA’s goal is to provide 100 kits. We need your help to make this possible. Are you interested in contributing to this project?
